====== Step 3: Sending the Request ======

The Fortune3 API consists of 2 main functionalities:

  * [[outbound_api|Outbound API]] - Retrieve Information from Fortune3
  * [[inbound_api|Inbound API]] - Send Information to Fortune3

The XML Request you submit to Fortune3 will be based on how you want to interact with the API. If you would like to retrieve information from the Fortune3 Shopping Cart database, select [[outbound_api|Outbound API]]. Otherwise, if you would like to send (or import) information into the Fortune3 Shopping Cart, select [[inbound_api|Inbound API]].
